Latent Print Standards Pad

The Latent Print Standards Pad is an excellent resource to verify that chemicals being used for development of latent prints are working properly so that you can be confident that you have the best chance of developing reliable prints.

This pad is designed to be used for all chemical tests that involve sebaceous oils, amino acids, or salts including:

• iodine
• DFO
• ninhydrin
• silver nitrate
• physical developer

Apply residue from the pad to a sample and run through the process you are using.  This will provide a control that can be used as a reference standard and allow you to determine whether your chemicals are working well.
